Sorry I been to busy all
season to update fishing reports. Trying to get back in to the
routine. Has not been much to report however until now. The spring
bite has finally started.
The east end from Detrobriand
Island to Hwy 83 is Hot for walleye. Fish main lake structures in
25 to 45 feet of water. Use spinners or lindy rigs tipped with
crawlers or leeches. Go slow. Lots of limits of eater size fish.

Current Lake Level 1837.50 up 1.30
The east end walleye bite has
taken off the last couple days. Fish garrison bay to centennial.
Fish points and island in 12 feet of water or less. Minnows,
nightcrawlers or leeches on jigs and lindy rigs.

Walleye activity has slowed
with all the cold fronts. Look to main lake structures now.
Some real nice smallies being
caught.

What happens to the time.
Overlooked the fishing reports for the last 2 weeks, oops, sorry.
Not much to report however. Big lake is slow but I think the fish
are real shallow and not to many fishing them in the vegetation.
The river is very good from
the dam to Washburn.

Water still cold. I
anticipate with the nice weather this week things will change
fast. Start looking for walleye in the shoreline structure. I put
buoys out of the mouth of the marina the other day and saw lots of
saplings in the water. This will become walleye magnets here in
the next week or so.
Lake
Audubon Fishing Report
Walleye activity on the east
end of the lake is hot. Use jigs and lindy rigs tipped with
minnows and crawlers. Fish in 2 to 17 feet of water as slow as you
can go or better yet anchor.
Some real nice smallies being
caught.

Not much word on a walleye
bite but the pike are biting in the bays. Cast spoons and fish
smelt and herring in the back bays.
Some salmon are being caught
long lining on the face of the dam.

Fish the culvert area on the east end
and the back bays. Use jigs tipped
with minnows. Anchor in the channel is the best.

Ice went out this week. Lots
of boat ramps in the water and lots of water yet to come, this is
awesome.

bite but the pike are biting in the bays. Cast spoons and fish
smelt and herring in the back bays.

biting. Fish the culvert area on the east end. Use jigs tipped

There is shoreline open in
lots of areas for shore fishing. The pike bite is there but
somewhat sluggish. Most pike have spawned due to the runoff but
some have not. Best areas for pike are Stienke Bay, Douglas Bay.
Still ice on the main portion
of the lake.
Lake
Audubon Fishing Report
Shorelines are open but no
room for boats unless you can carry them. Good walleye bite at the
culvert.

Lake
Sakakawea Fishing Report
Current Lake Level 1828.00.
Ice is starting to pull away
from the shorelines. Checked Centennial Bay this morning and there
was some shoreline open for about 10 feet or so, not everywhere
however. Wont be long for open water, the ice is turning black in
the bays.
Lake
Audubon Fishing Report
People still getting on and
fishing. Good reports coming from the east end cabin site area. Be
cautious of changing ice conditions.
