Lake Sakakawea Fishing Report

Current Lake Level 1807.80 msl / no change from last week

No Report - not much activity, water still pretty cold.

Ft Stevenson boat ramp is ready for use.

Centennial new low water ramp is usable, south of the main ramp..

Wolf Creek ramp is usable.

If you get out pitch jigs to the shallows and lindy rig behind the boat, go as slow as you can or even anchor off points and gravel bars.

Look in the backs of the bays or on gravel bars.

Lake Audubon Fishing Report

The walleye bite is getting started. You can pitch jigs tipped with minnows or crawlers to the shallows or pull spinners tipped with minnows and crawlers in 14-20 feet of water. Some real nice fish being caught right now.

Check for pike and bass in the back bays, they are real active also.

The bite is still somewhat sluggish. Walleyes are in the spawn. There are a few being caught however don't expect limits.

Look for walleyes, pike and bass to be in the bays in shallow water. Pitch or troll jigs real slow in shallow water.

Lake Sakakawea Fishing Report

Current Lake Level 1807.80 msl / down 6.00 Since my last report Oct 2007

To See Lake Level Trend Click Here!!

Lake is still 95% ice covered. Some spots have open water for shore fishing and you can access the ice for ice fishing in lots of areas. Please use extreme caution.

Douglas, Garrison and Centennial Bays are producing pike and some walleyes. Fish 4-15 feet of water.

Lake Audubon Fishing Report

Still mostly ice covered, some open water on the north lake, you could launch small boats from shore but watch the ice flow.
